POSTERS and RAPID FIRE PRESENTATIONS
These will be shown for an hour before the meeting itself commences, and during the break. If you wish to submit a poster , please email an abstract to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please write ‘BOAS poster’ in the subject field of the email. Each attendee can be the first author for one submitted abstract only. Abstract should be in the standard format: background/purpose, methods, results, conclusion, with a maximum of 400 words.
Do include a statement of ethical approval/ patient agreement as appropriate. Abstract submission deadline is 14th November 2020 at midday. Submitted abstracts will be considered by a committee. Accepted abstracts should be made into an electronic poster: a single PowerPoint slide or a PDF, in the shape of a standard computer screen (i.e. landscape format).
A small number of posters will also be selected for rapid-fire presentation. This means that one of the authors will be asked to present a PowerPoint presentation, lasting 5 minutes or less, followed by 5 minutes of questions from the audience.
There will be a prize of £500 for the best poster or rapid-fire presentation, by a trainee.
This is another highlight of BOAS meetings, which is always popular.
Please write a brief abstract/summary, of 400 words or less.
This can be ‘unstructured’ but should contain enough information for the committee to decide whether or not to include your case. Please email it to email@example.com before midday on 14th November 2020. Please put ‘BOAS case’ in the subject field of your email. Selected cases should be presented as a PowerPoint (5 minutes or less). This will be followed by 5 minutes of discussion with the audience.
